☆☆☆
Gene String: Entirely Optional.
Appearance:
From the tip of her tail to the end of her whiskers, Butterfly drinking from stream is a beautiful cat. Being smaller than most cats, and technically never growing more than the size of a to-be, the white and gray she-cat tried her hardest to make herself seen. With small black splotches that grew as she did on the bridge of her nose, to the soft, almost cloudy color of gray that resides mainly and only in her tail, she is a sight. Her eyes are a shade of deep blue, almost as if the deepest parts of the ocean lay directly in her eyes. It's said that with those eyes, she could see through your soul and back and be able to tell other's intentions. To some, it's almost a belief...
Personality
Please list at least three positive and three negative traits for your character below.
Positive Traits: • Patient • Confident • Humble | Negative Traits: • VERY Outspoken • Vague • Naive |
Personality:
What Butterfly lacks in size, she doesn't in tone. She will speak out for anything and everything that in her eyes seems unjust. She is very blunt when it comes down to it, and getting on her bad side isn't something most cats want to do. With a temper that rages worse than a hurricane, it's something not often seen, and for good reason.
When not speaking out, Butterfly is truly a down to earth cat. With the wisdom of ages and the stupidity of youth, she constantly is trying to prove that she belongs in the position she had been appointed. At times, she almost believes the Tribe of Endless Hunting made a mistake in choosing her but vowed to never let that get the better of her, and continues to stay confident. Constantly helping and trying to make sure her tribe is safe, she is considered a cat that most would go running to for help, not just as a leader, but as a friend.
She is proud of the tribe, she has continued to help build and expand, and is glad that cats from all backgrounds can find a home with them. With very rocky upbringings, she believes that anything in life is possible, and that happiness is really just a flap of wings away.

Character Background
History:
Butterfly was born to the then-known Tribe of Ancient Roots, to wonderful parents who adored her and her siblings more than life itself. Born to Puddle after Rain and Dusk after Sinking Sun, she lived an almost peaceful life, her only battles being who would get the most attention from Puddle. Her brothers began practicing their to be training since before they could open their eyes, or so she thought, and thought it a bit strange for Butterfly to always be so lost in her thoughts. She tried her hardest to come out of her shell and join her siblings in their bouts of play, but life, as it turns out, had another plan for her... and she knew it.
When Butterfly and her brothers, Creek Where Trout Swim and
became to-be, she didn't feel it right. Her brothers were more than estatic, and were happy to go forward with training, but something in the small Molly's heart just did not sit right with her. After being appointed to Pond where Ice Melts, she confessed that she was unhappy trying to become a water wader and was unsure of the future to come. Pond simply advised that she try it and see, and that there was nothing that a little trying couldn't help. With this advice in mind, she went forward with training, albeit with very little interest. While she was being taught, her mind would always seem to wander, either to the future of her tribe, or if there was anything else other than pretending to listen she could actually do. With two-legs threatening the small tribe almost every sunrise, there was no wonder she couldn't focus.
At her to-be ceremony, as predicted, she failed, causing her to finally snap and sob to everyone that she was not meant for this. When her tantrum had finally stopped, the Poolwalker finally stepped forth, locking eyes with the young she-cat and gesturing her to follow her into her cave. While most cats were alarmed, Butterfly remained calm, actually glad she was able to talk to the Poolwalker about her plight. After explaining, Sky that breaks at Dawn simply smiled, almost chuckling at the smaller cats ordeal. Sky then explained that she was meant for more but wasn't exactly sure of when she would be ready, but now more than ever, she knew. She didn't think the small she-cat a good successor to her, but after watching her come this far and then passionately sob at her want for more, was more than enough to convince the old she-cat. A fire, when burning ferociously and bright, could never be detained, and neither could Butterfly.
Sky appointed Butterfly as her to be and was thankfully given a new form of learning. From herbs to the ways of the clan and tribe, she grew to be almost as wise as Sky was, and right before she died, she expressed sorrow that she would not in flesh be able to see the empire growing at the smaller she-cat's paws. She begged Butterfly to find them a new home, something farther away than the hurt and terror that had now become a norm to them, to take them farther away than any two legs could ever chase them. After much deliberation, a dream came to her. A new place, a safe place, where no cat had ever set paw, and could potentially be a new home. She asked herself if this is what Sky had meant, and much to her delight, when she rose the next morning, a butterfly landed on her nose before flying up and off of the small territory they had.
With the guidance of her ancestors and the blessing of Sky, she explained her plan to the others, who only seemed to give her skeptical looks. Creek and Red, however, were behind their sister no matter what and encouraged others to believe in her, just as Sky believed in her. After much deliberation, they all agreed and ended up migrating, a bit farther than they had hoped, but they trudged on. Place after place, they tried to find a worthy home, but each territory only seemed to have more and more problems, two legs still being a very imminent and heavy threat. With a heavy heart, she called out to her ancestors, asking for help and advice as to where to take her tribe next. She curled up in a ball and could only pray they made it to their next home soon and safe. Her prayers were answered when another butterfly, eerily similar to the one she had originally seen, fluttered on her nose again, and then made it way across a beautiful lake. Butterfly's eyes almost popped out of her head as she took in the beauty of the place. As she padded over to the lake, her eyes shined as she watched her ancestors sitting before her as a reflection in the water, purring proudly as she had found the place for them. Renaming the tribe as Tribe of Painted Pools as the surrounding lakes looked colorful and inviting in the warm glow of morning, she smiled as they settled in, looking forward to a long and happy life.
