Receiving a Mentor
If you create a character from scratch as an apprentice, your character will automatically be assigned a mentor once accepted. You can find out who your mentor is by looking at the proper allegiance list and you will be pinged in the Discord server. If your character is created as a kit (either from scratch or via breeding), they will receive a mentor in the monthly ceremonies once they are old enough. Leaders are encouraged to tag/@ RPers who have cats mentioned in the ceremonies, but this may not happen so please make sure that you check them.
You can contact your apprentice either by PMing them on the forum, speaking to them on discord, or you could even just @ them in a thread!
Training Threads
According to the Character Requirements, you must have one training thread every IRL month that the character is an apprentice.
Most apprenticeships last for 6 moons, so three threads will be required for the apprentice to become a warrior.
'Training' is loosely defined. The thread can be hunting, fighting, or even just talking about the clan and answering questions. As long as the apprentice is learning something, it counts.
*For medicine cat apprentices, training threads are only required once every two months to maintain apprenticeship
If you have any questions, please message a member of staff or ask in the discord.
Inactive Mentors
If mentor's roleplayer is inactive for a month, you may ask for a new mentor.
If you try to contact them but they don't have time to write, you can ask for a new mentor if you do not want to wait. We encourage you to try and work something out instead of immediately asking for a replacement.
If you try to contact them but they ignore you, ask a staff member to message them to ensure that they know your character is their apprentice and that they did not just miss your message. If they continue to ignore you, you may ask for a new mentor.
