Appearance:
Kestrel, build wise, has inherited a rather stalwart body-- her height being above average for most cats. She's a bit on the bulkier side, inheriting strong muscles paired with a lean, yet fairly sculpted body. She naturally stands tall, though she carries gentle features-- a delicate nose, amble walk, and soft smile all paired with shamrock-shaded eyes that carry a sense of warmth and playfulness. Due to her calm personality, her gaze is usually half-lidded and dreamy.
Her coat is long-haired, particularly evident through her feathery tail, fluffy coat/chest fur and mane that runs down her back and drapes over her shoulders. Her pelt is wispy and soft to the touch, though a bit ruffled-- you could even say like a bird's feathers. Her coat is base-silver, with brown tabby and sepia-point markings among her frame. She has an off-white underbelly, face, tail-tip, and diamond marking on her lower back.
Entangled in her flowing mane is a kestrel feather, gifted to her by her father upon officially joining the Tribe.

Personality:
"The kestrel is a bird that can stimulate a quick, graceful and agile mind. It will teach you how to use your mental facilities more effectively and more patiently to capture what you most need and desire. It not only has excellent vision, but its hearing is amazing -- so it reminds us to truly Listen and See what is around us, within our lives, and our place/responsibility within situations..."
Naturally, Kestrel is a cat with a friendly, relaxed aura-- and though she appears to be stoic upon first glance, don't let the look fool you. Though she initially leans on the more quiet side (more of a "actions speak louder than words" type), it's rare to never see a warm, gentle smile along her maw. Truly a gentle giant, Kestrel makes for good company if you ever need someone around to merely listen or talk with-- her heart is large and loves those she is closest to. Speaking of, if one is able to brush past the initial quietness and pluck the right string, Kestrel's passionate spirit will shine through. Ever since she was a kit, she was a lover of creation (painting, singing, etc.)-- so if you manage to get past her exterior, you allow her to laugh heartily as opposed to her usual chuckle, crack a bunch of jokes and witty remarks to make you belly-laugh, and express quite literally anything on her mind-- as she is an opinionated cat; A dreamer with a determined soul.
However, take note that this molly has her flaws like any other cat. Normally, if you aren't close enough to her, it can be extremely difficult to break down the final barrier that leads to her utmost trust. Due to her guarding her more emotional distress and failing to use her words, it can be difficult for others to really read her thoughts and therefore reach out; resulting in rather harsh reactions if it bugs her enough. If you break her trust, prepare for the worst silent-treatment or tongue-lashing of your life-- for she is one stubborn cat who struggles with forgiving others if they truly manage to go too far. Also, while she dreams big and does a good job at working for her goals, her lax personality can irritate others with just how lazy or carefree she can be. If she's in a foul or down mood, all she needs is some cat to steer her back into the right direction.

Character Background
History:
Kestrel's life begins as Kestrelkit; born into one of the previous clans just moons prior in a litter of four-- her siblings being Larkkit, Hailkit, and Emberkit-- with Emberkit passing away the night they were born.
Kestrel and her siblings were conceived on an agreed arrangement between their parents; Blackmoon and Ashlight, for the betterment of the clan and the future. However-- they were no different from any other family; as no cat could deny the love the family held for one another.
Not too long in her time spent in the Nursery, a rat infestation among camp occurred, causing her clan to flee and recover elsewhere. It was then that things really began to pick up for the worst.
Though initially oblivious to the boiling turmoil as moons passed as a young kitten, it soon became evident to Kestrelkit that the overwhelming tension among the clans was growing more heated as the days wore on. Cats from other clans began to invade impulsively, willing to kill another simply for their own sake or their clan's.
Life in one's own clan began to grow unstable and rocky, and this became evident as she watched her mother's personality morph into something unrecognizable, leaving herself, her siblings, and her father conflicted. Soon, it became clear that her father's heart was drifting to someone else-- and Morningstep was properly introduced to his remaining kits.
Eventually, enough had been enough-- with empty bellies, two-leg interference and clan destruction, the clans crumbled, leaving only a handful of survivors. At some point, some survivors had received a most tell-tale omen, one that soon began to gain traction and ring clear among the remaining cats:
"Follow the clawmarks in the night. The stars are bound to your paws and will bring you home."
Thus, a trek began-- a journey for the remaining cats to truly find out what exactly this message held in store for them as meteors danced among the stars for 5 moons...
It was clear, now-- four clans were formed for the ones who wished to carry their traditions of clan-life in their new home. Each survivor split off into groups to declare parts of the territory as their own, respectively-- bringing light to an all-new era.
Yet, Kestrel stuck with her immediate family-- for her father sensed something further along the territory... To their collective surprise, remaining members of Black's tribe were found, explaining that they had renamed themselves as the Tribe of Painted Pools.
Once the initial shock had died down and introductions were made, it became clear that Kestrelkit and her siblings were ready to rank up-- now that they had all been well-past the proper age.
Once having been settled in for some time, Kestrelkit had dropped her clan title and been gifted a name of the tribe. She was now Kestrel that Sings with Wind: To-Be of the Tribe of Painted Pools.
A new life has begun, and against all the hardships, Kestrel is ready to move on and pursue the life of a tribe cat.
